The Clark County Sheriff’s Office, along with local law enforcement agencies, invites the community to attend the annual Law Enforcement Memorial Ceremony at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 14, in the courtyard of the Clark County Public Service Center at 13th St. and Franklin in Vancouver. The tremendously popular Recyled Arts Festival is just around the corner (June 25-26) and perhaps the reason it’s so compelling and beloved is that it combines highbrow art with lowbrow materials—objects that have been discarded as trash, but then reinvented as something beautiful and useful.
