Winter break may be only two weeks, but it can seem like an eternity…fortunately, the Camas Public Library is all set to go with winter break movies. Bring your restless kids for some G- and PG-rated fun. The movies will projected on the library’s big screen and everyone gets free popcorn! Here’s the line-up:
- Monday, Dec. 22, 2 p.m.: “Guardians of the Galaxy” (rated PG-13)—a ragtag group of space criminals work together to stop a fanatic from destroying the galaxy. Running time: two hours.
- Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2 p.m.: “Maleficent” (rated PG)—a vengeful fairy curses a baby princess, only to discover that the child may be the one person who can restore peace to the kingdom. Inspired by “Sleeping Beauty.” Running time: one hour, 35 minutes.
- Monday, Dec. 29, 2 p.m.: “How to Train Your Dragon 2” (rated PG)—when Hiccup and Toothless discover an ice cave that is home to hundreds of wild dragons, the two find themselves in a battle to protect the peace. Based on the books by Cressida Cowell. Running time: one hour, 30 minutes.
- Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2 p.m.: “Cars” (rated G)—a hot-shot racer named Lightning McQueen gets waylaid in Radiator Springs, where he finds the true meaning of friendship. Running time: two hours.
