Wine & Chocolate Gratitude Festival

Wine & Chocolate Gratitude Festival

Ridgefield’s First Saturday just got a little more delicious! On Saturday, Nov. 5, downtown Ridgefield and the SW Washington Wine Association are partnering to host a Wine & Chocolate Gratitude Festival from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. in Overlook Park. Sip delicious local wines paired with decadent chocolate treats—or buy a bottle of wine to take home. The wine-tasting event will be held under a heated tent with live music and ample seating, hot food, and local vendors. This 21-and-over gala is $10 to enter, and the fee includes a wine glass plus five tasting tokens. Additional tokens are $1 each. The first 200 guests will receive a hand-painted wine glass created especially for this occasion.

Featured wineries include Emanar Cellars, English Estate Winery, Heisen House Vineyards, Burnt Bridge CellarsOlequa Cellars, Rezabek Vineyards, Stavalaura Vineyards, and Koi Pond Cellars. Chocolate goodies to tempt you include chocolate fondue by A Merry Heart Events, chocolate, chili, and blood orange brownies by Buckets, chocolate sourdough bread by Bakerchic’s, all kinds of chocolate and chocolate foods from local chocolatiers and food vendors, plus chocolate cooking demonstrations by Sage Organics and free samples of chocolate.

If you’ve got kids, no worries! Downtown Ridgefield businesses will be open and offering sales and specials throughout town, and you can also browse the wares of Ridgefield Farmers Market vendors. The Old Liberty Theater will be hosting a Chocolate Bar featuring chocolate treats and hot cocoa. Merchants will offer chocolate tastings, wine- and chocolate-based products, and a Candy Jar Guessing Game for the young ‘uns. If you’re feeling expressive, write it on the Gratitude Graffiti display! There will also be a cider press and fresh apples for cider-making. And all ages are welcome to visit the Chickadee Arts & Crafts Bazaar at the Ridgefield Community Center from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., sponsored by the Ridgefield Art Association. There will be non-alcoholic wine tasting (strange but true), arts and crafts sales by local artisans, and chocolate samples.
