There are still a few spots open in the next Wine & Canvas event, which brings together talented local artists with excellent wines in Cellar 55‘s beautiful tasting room at 1812 Washington Street in downtown Vancouver. Guaranteed: the more wine you drink, the more entertaining it becomes.
The step-by-step class will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 27, when you’ll be able to make artistic magic happen with a brush in one hand and a wine glass in the other. Sign up at the Wine & Canvas website by clicking here. The cost is $35 per person and includes all supplies and materials. If it happens to be sold out—not an uncommon occurrence—never fear; there’s another class on Sunday, Sept. 10.
On the other hand, why wait until Sunday to visit Cellar 55? Come on Friday, Aug. 25, for happy hour ($2 off all glasses of wine, plus discounts on nibbles) and to hear soulful vocalist Marianne Flemming on the patio from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
To learn more about Cellar 55 Tasting Room and see some of its craft Walla Walla wines and small plate offerings (a gourmet charcuterie board, cheeses, olives and other epicurean treats), visit cellar55tastingroom.com. While you’re there, ask the friendly staff to help you pick out a nice wine for your end-of-summer parties or purchase gift certificates for your friends and family, because we all know that wine is the only gift that counts.
