Battle Ground’s 35th annual Halloween Fun Fest & Fright Night will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on the evening of Halloween, Monday, Oct. 31. There will be Safe Trick-or-Treating on Trick or Treat Street for your little monsters, a scarecrow contest, a coloring contest for ages two through 12, and a costume contest for kids and dogs. Prizes will be awarded to kids with the most creative costumes in two age groups: ages 10 and under and ages 11 and up, plus an award for the most creative dog costume (…so get ready for cute overload). The costume contest will take place at 5 p.m. at the Battle Ground Chamber of Commerce, located at 317 E. Main Street.
Safe Trick-or-Treating will be held all along Main Street, east of SR503. Look for the stores with the jack o’lantern in the window to know where to get candy! Instead of trick-or-treating, you could go Trunk-or-Treating: decorate your car, come in costume, and hand out candy from your trunk; call 360-687-1510 to get your assigned parking spot. Ribbons will be awarded to the best-decorated car. There will also be a Fright Night party at the Battle Ground Community Center with games, prizes, and more tricks and treats.
