The Artist Loft

Black and White at The Artist Loft

The Artist Loft Studio and Gallery invites you to see things in black and white for its November show and exhibit—called, appropriately enough, “Black and White.” The gallery is putting out an open call to all artists to submit works of art in black and white for this upcoming show, which will celebrate its opening night with a First Friday party and artists’ reception from 5 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 3. The works will remain on display and for sale through the end of November.

The gallery is looking for pen and ink works, oils, acrylics, watercolor, and photography pieces. A touch of color will be accepted. The exhibit is open to anyone—professional and amateur artists alike, whether you have shown your art in a gallery or not. There’s always a first time! All pieces should be framed, wired, and ready to hang. The cost to submit is $20 per item, with a 30% commission on sold work. All pieces should be 30 inches by 40 inches and under.

The deadline to submit art is Tuesday, Oct. 31. Arts should be dropped off between 1 and 6 p.m. on that day at The Artist Loft, 1001 Main St., Suite C, in downtown Vancouver. Before dropping off art, artists should send an e-mail and a photograph of the art in question to
