Are you up for some heel-stomping, kilt-flapping, hand-clapping, Scottish-style music? If so, then come on out to Ridgefield’s Old Liberty Theater where, at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 22, you can hear Scottish music trio The Fire perform a special live concert. This lively ensemble is comprised of Scotland’s Glenfiddich Fiddle Champion Rebecca Lomnicki, David Brewer of Molly’s Revenge, and the multi-instrumentalist Adam Hendley. They’ll play rousing Scottish tunes that bridge the gap between the traditional fiddle and bagpipe music of Scotland. The entire band honors traditions of the region and have travelled and studied Scottish music to provide a high-energy sound experience that speaks to the varying regions and stories of the Scottish landscape.
Tickets are $15 per person and all ages are welcome. Advance tickets are available by phone at 360-887-7260 or online at www.oldlibertytheater.com. Doors open at 6:45 p.m. so that you can purchase refreshments, including craft beer and wine, from Seasons Café in the lobby. The Old Liberty Theater is a performing arts venue located at 115 N. Main St. in downtown Ridgefield. To learn more about The Fire, visit firescottishband.com.
