Latte Da Coffee House and Wine Bar is hosting an evening of live music with local singer/songwriter Randy Cate as part of a school supply drive for MacLoughlin Middle School. He’ll be performing original songs from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 12, on the covered patio (weather permitting, or inside if it’s rainy). Enjoy Latte Da’s firepit and comfortable outdoor seating. Their full food and drink menu will be available, offering appetizers, sandwiches, wraps, pastries, and a selection of local wine and craft beer—not to mention coffee, tea, and espresso drinks! Bring new school supplies—pencils, paper, pens, erasers, rulers, pencil cases, binders, spiral notebooks, blunt-edged scissors, colored pencils, highlighters and the like—to donate to MacLoughlin students.
Cate, a former English teacher at Union High School, has long been active in the music industry, and his tunes have been performed by music greats like Ted Nugent and Dionne Warwick. More recently, Cate’s work can be heard as background music on television shows such as “True Blood,” “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” and “The Young and the Restless.” His latest album, “A Different Kind of Same” is available at www.cdbaby.com, on iTunes., and as an MP3 from www.amazon.com. Cate will also have copies of his albums available for purchase at the show.
Latte Da is located at 205 E. 39th St., just west of Vancouver’s Main St. For more information about this and other events at Latte Da, visit lattedacoffeehouse.com.
