Satisfy Your Senses: Art Sale & Wine Event at Latte Da Coffee House and Wine Bar

Latte Da Coffeehouse and Wine Bar is hosting the three-day Satisfy Your Senses Art Show & Sale from Friday, July 21, through Sunday, July 23. This annual event features the work of new and returning professional artists, including Kathleen Hovis (jewelry), Bonnie Junell (paintings), Edi Olson (paintings), Timothy Reed (photography), and Debbie Wilhoit (glass art). A portion of the weekend’s proceeds will go toward one of the area’s most valued nonprofits, the Fort Vancouver Regional Library Foundation. The show is free to attend and open to the public.

There’s an opening night reception from 5 to 9 p.m. on Friday, July 21, where attendees can meet the artists and enjoy wine from Basel Cellars, complimentary appetizers provided by Latte Da, and music by Anchored. The art show and sale continues through the weekend, and guests can view art both indoors and on the covered patio.

Drop by any time from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 22, for live music with Justin Little and Ebony Notes, as well as flights of wine from Vinea Imports and Basel Cellars. On Sunday, July 23, the show will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a raffle for an enhanced giclée print by Bonnie Junell. Raffle tickets are $1 each, and the drawing will take place Sunday at 1 p.m. The winner need not be present to win. The event features the work of six local artists: Phyllis Flury, Jeanette French, Kathleen Hovis, Bonnie Junell (whose work is pictured above), Edi Olson, and Kathii Wiebe. Ten percent of Latte Da’s profits from the weekend will go toward one of the area’s most valued nonprofits, the Fort Vancouver Regional Library Foundation. The show is free to attend and open to the public.

Drop by any time from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 30, for live music with Caryn Jamieson and beer-tasting with Loowit Brewing from 2 to 4 p.m. On Sunday, the show will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a raffle for a giclée print of your choice from Bonnie Junell’s portfolio of work. Raffle tickets are $1 each, and the drawing will take place Sunday at 1 p.m. The winner need not be present to win. Art Show & Sale at Latte Da

Latte Da Coffe House and Wine Bar invites you to “Satisfy Your Senses” at its three-day Art Show & Sale from Friday, July 25, through Sunday, July 27. This event will also satisfy your soul, because proceeds from the sale of art will benefit the Assistance League of Southwest Washington. Use all five of your senses to see original works of art, smell the delicious fragrance of freshly brewed coffee, feel the warm summer sun on your arms (or enjoy Latte Da’s cool air conditioning, as the case may be), hear lively conversation and laughter, and taste Latte Da’s excellent selection of local wines. Here’s the schedule:

  • Friday, July 25, 5 to 9 p.m. – artist reception and preview, wine tasting, and light bites
  • Saturday, July 26, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. – art show and sale
  • Sunday, July 27, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. – art show and sale

Featured artists—who will be painting while the show is going on, creating new pieces of art for you to enjoy—include Jeanette French, Edi Olson, and Bonnie Junell, presenting works in oil and acrylic; Kathleen Hovis, with handcrafted jewelry; and photographs by Carolyn Waissman.
