Mmmm…summer and sangria: they just go together! Sangria—that delightfully refreshing wine punch from Spain and Portugal—is usually made with red or rosé wine, chopped fruit, sunny citrus slices, and other ingredients such as orange juice or brandy. It’s served over ice or well-chilled, and is just the thing to beat the heat.
Niche Wine Bar in downtown Vancouver is offering “Sangria for All,” from 4 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 30, which just happens to be the very same day that kids in the Vancouver and Evergreen School Districts head back to the classroom. So get a sitter for the evening and celebrate the return to normalcy with a couple glasses or Niche’s special-recipe sangria. And if you don’t have kids? Well, you get sangria, too! We’re sure you’ve done something worth celebrating.
Niche Wine Bar is located at 1013 Main St. in downtown Vancouver, next door to the historic Kiggins Theatre and adjacent to Angst Gallery. For more information and to keep up with goings-on at Niche, follow Niche on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/nichewineandart/.
