Reindeer Village sounds like a winter wonderland, doesn’t it? Well, Reindeer Village NW isn’t far off the mark…it’s a place where you can savor the season with your family in a parklike setting. It’s an hour-long, outdoor tour over lighted gravel and cedar-chip paths, through winter woods and into hidden, magical settings.
You and your children can follow the elves to Candyland and enjoy a holiday treat, find Fairyland, see a musical light show, peek into a hobbit house and other enchanted spaces—and you might event find the house where Santa Claus lives when he’s in town. He might be there and ready for photos! Wrap up your experience with a visit to the hot cocoa and hot cider bar, where you can make your own custom cocoa creation. You can also make your own ornament to take home as a mememto of your time in Reindeer Village.
Dress warmly and bring rain gear if that’s what’s in the forecast. There are only a limited number of guests allowed in Reindeer Village each day, so your experience will be special and serene. Tickets are $10 per person, adult or child, and are available online by clicking here. Reindeer Village is only open for five days, Dec. 17-21, so get your tickets soon. It’s located in the Vancouver Dog Park BPA Substation at the intersection of N.E. Ross St. and N.E. 15th Ave., where you can park and take a shuttle to the village. All tours are held in the early evening.
