Here’s a bit of full-bodied news, with forward notes of blackberry and spice and a smooth finish: family-owned Pomeroy Farms has opened a tasting room at the farm, located on beautiful Lucia Falls Road between Battle Ground and Yacolt. Pomeroy Cellars will celebrate its grand opening from noon to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 20. Admission is free and open to guests age 21 and older.
Grand opening festivities include a free tasting of Pomeroy Cellars’ newly released wines such as the Log House Red, a big Rhone-style blend, and a top-selling Riesling. There will also be a bocce ball tournament, complimentary chocolate pairings, live music, and dinner from Mill Creek Pub available to purchase. Prize drawings and giveaways will take place throughout the day.
In the meantime, the tasting room’s outdoor area is open for wine tasting on Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 6 p.m. Want to learn more? Of course you do! Visit www.pomeroycellars.com. Pomeroy Cellars address is 20902 N.E. Lucia Falls Rd. in Yacolt, and the establishment is not too far from the breathtaking Lucia Falls and Moulton Falls, so the area makes an ideal day trip.
