Portland’s Permanent Comedy series, hosted by Todd Armstrong, is returning to the Old Liberty Theater in Ridgefield. The next show will be at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12. In this side-splitting, spontaneous series, Armstrong will interview some of Portland’s best comedians, such as Hunter Hill, Nariko Ott, Jacob Christopher, and Susan Rice.
Maybe they will be getting tattooed during the interview, or doing something else equally distracting but funny to watch. (Or wait. IS it funny to watch someone get tattooed? I think it depends on the tattoo.) But mostly the comedians—and Armstrong—will give the audience an honest, no-holds-barred, up-close-and-personal look at what drew them to stand-up comedy and what it takes to succeed. Or not.
Tickets to the Permanent Comedy Show are $10 at the door on the day of the show, or you can by TWO Early Bird tickets for $10. To get your tickets before the show sells out, call the Old Liberty Theater at 360-887-7260. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.
