Mother’s Day Brunch with Free Mimosas for Mom at Latte Da

How does this sound for Mother’s Day? Big, fluffy Belgian waffles, fresh strawberries, homemade whipped cream, and real maple syrup. Or piping hot biscuits and savory gravy. Or breakfast sandwiches. Or a generous slice of quiche. (I know—it ALL sounds good, right?) And how about a mimosa bar with juicy offerings like fresh-squeezed orange juice and mango nectar? YES, you say? You want ALL OF THOSE THINGS?

You can have them at Latte Da Coffee House and Wine Bar‘s Mother’s Day Brunch, happening on Sunday, May 8. Here’s the best part: the mimosas are free for all moms with the purchase of a brunch entrée.

Latte Da is located at 205 E. 39th St., just a couple blocks west of Main St. The popular coffee house and wine bar, which is located in a beautifully refurbished 1920s bungalow, also has event space available for holiday gatherings or business meetings. What to Drink While Doing Your Taxes

Wondering what to drink while doing your taxes? The short answer is: whatever gets you through the night. The long answer is, why not sip a comforting Cabernet? After all, when fermented fortification is needed, it’s okay to bring out the big guns (how’s that for a mixed metaphor?). The big, bold, juicy flavors of a Cabernet make tax prepration so much easier…and the more you drink, the more the numbers add up in your favor. So if you’re interested in a primer on which wines to pair with your 1040EZ, come to Latte Da Coffee House and Wine Bar from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 24.

Wine tastings are held every fourth Thursday of the month in Latte Da’s beautifully remodeled Wine Room. There’s no charge to attend, and you can get four tastes for $5. Complementary light refreshments will be served and there’s also lots of scrumptious things to purchase from Latte Da’s small plates menu. Latte Da is located at 205 E. 39th St. in the Lincoln neighborhood of Vancouver. To learn more, visit lattedacoffeehouse.com or check out Latte Da’s Facebook page.

Champagne & Caroling at Latte Da

Sometimes you feel like drinking…and sometimes you feel like singing (and sometimes one follows the other). You can do both at Latte Da Coffee House & Wine Bar this week. After you’ve tasted, bottles will be available for sale so that you can enjoy it again during your Christmas and New Year’s Eve celebrations. The Champagne tasting is free to attend.

Then, on Friday, Dec. 18, bring the whole family for neighborhood Christmas caroling, free hot chocolate, and fun for kids and grown-ups alike from 5 to 8 p.m. The kitchen will be open, cooking up soups and sandwiches and small-plate appetizers, and Latte Da will also be selling its usual array of delicious coffee concoctions, beer, wine, cider (and maybe some leftover Champagne!).
