Relay for Life Silent Auction & Doug Smith Concert at Latte Da

The Clark County Cancer Relay for Life is hosting a silent auction and concert featuring Grammy Award-winning guitarist and international finger style champion Doug Smith. Proceeds will help fund groundbreaking cancer research, patient care programs, and can make a difference in the local community. The event will be held on the beautiful patio at Latte Da Coffee House and Wine Bar, located at 205 E. 39th St. in downtown Vancouver, on Thursday, July 27.

Smiths’s playing has been heard on the big screen in the popular 2007 film August Rush, and his original compositions are heard everywhere from NPR to TCM to Martha Stewart to Good Morning America. His playing combines folk, classical and jazz elements and has been called “a cross between Chet Atkins, Leo Kottke and Michael Hedges.”

Latte Da will open its doors at 6 p.m. so that you can get a good seat. The concert will begin at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20 and include a beer, a glass of wine, or other beverage, as well as a door prize drawing ticket. Latte Da will also have its full food and drink menu available, featuring small plates and appetizers. Tickets can be purchased at the door or online at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/2965640 .
