Latte Da Coffeehouse & Wine Bar

Crawfish Duo at Latte Da

August is the time for kicking back, enjoying the balmy late-summer breezes, sipping a drink or two…and letting your country roots show by listening to some really good bluegrass. This scenario is exactly what will be happening this Saturday evening, Aug. 15, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Latte Da Coffeehouse and Wine Bar, when the local acoustic bluegrass band Crawfish Duo will be playing live on Latte Da’s beautiful outdoor patio area.

The concert is free and all ages are welcome. There’s no need to eat dinner elsewhere because Latte Da offers a full food menu, along with small plates and delicious drinks from wine to beer to expertly brewed coffee to tea and Italian soda. There will be plenty of outdoor seating available under the open-sided summer tent, and twinkle lights strung up in the trees. It’s romantic enough for a date night while being relaxed enough for a family night. If the sky is clear, you can be soothed by the sounds of authentic bluegrass while watching the summer stars slowly turn in the night sky. (Ain’t the ‘Couve simply grand?)

Latte Da Coffehouse & Wine Bar is located at 205 E. 39th Street, just off north Main Street in the Lincoln neighborhood of downtown Vancouver. To learn more, visit lattedacoffeehouse.com.

Satisfy Your Senses Art Show & Sale

Latte Da Coffeehouse and Wine Bar loves its neighborhood and frequently serves as the venue for community events and is always willing to give a helping hand to local nonprofits. This weekend is no exception: the popular coffeehouse and wine-tasting venue is hosting the three-day Satisfy Your Senses Art Show & Sale from Friday, July 24, through Sunday, July 26.

Ten percent of Latte Da’s gross profts from the weekend will go toward one of the North Bank’s most valued nonprofits, the Fort Vancouver Regional Library Foundation. Opening night festivities at 6 p.m. on July 24 feature wine from the award-winning Koi Pond Cellars and live music, plus an art raffle.

Meet the Candidates at Latte Da

Maybe you’ve already received your voter pamphlet in the mail. You’re looking at the faces of the candidates and reading their statements and wondering what they’re really like. Well, you can find out from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 20, at Latte Da Coffeehouse & Wine Bar, on 39th St. about a block west of Main St. in downtown Vancouver. Latte Da is such a popular community hang-out that it’s the perfect place to casually meet and shoot the breeze with the people who hope to represent us in the political arena.

Each office and all the candidates running for that office will have a separate area in which to meet and chat with constituents (or potential constituents, as the case may be). All, or at least most, of the candidates will be there. And while you talk about how to solve the county’s problems, you can enjoy Latta Da’s local craft brews, fine Northwest wines, savory small plates, and tasty pastries. Oh yes—and for you night-owls, there’s excellent coffee.

For more information, contact Latte Da’s owner, Scott Flury, at 360-448-7651 or send an e-mail to lattedacoffeehouse@gmail.com. There’s no fee to attend. Parking is available on the street.
