November is the season to get cozy at Latte Da Coffee House and Wine Bar. It’s the perfect place to snuggle up and hang out while autumn rains fall outside. Latte Da, which is open most days from 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., offers—in additional to an array of tempting espresso drinks and changing seasonal beverages—delicious soups and sandwiches, delectable small plates, and a selection of soothing teas and local craft beer and wine. Latte Da usually hosts a Fourth Thursday Wine Tasting every month, but since Thanksgiving falls on the fourth Thursday of November, Latte Da will be closed on that day. But come in any day this month to enjoy Latte Da’s beautiful wine room, where fine wines are stored in a temperature-controlled atmosphere and you can order some small plates to pair perfectly with rich fall reds.

If you stop by for a cup of coffee, a sandwich and a pastry, or to sample some fine wine in Latte Da’s Wine Room, you can leave new, in-the-package school supplies such as glue sticks, pencils, paper, colored markers, erasers, rulers and blunt-edged scissors in the designated drop-off area. Cash donations are also welcome. All supplies and donations will go to Lincoln Elementary.

In support of the school supply drive, Latte Da is also hosting a Bingo and S’Mores Night from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 1. The show is free to attend and open to the public.

Sip & Paint is led by artist Bonnie Junell of Bonnie Junell Fine Art. She’ll demonstrate techniques and guide you through each step of your painting. The class will be held from 5:45 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24, at Latte Da, 205 E. 39th St. in Vancouver’s historic Lincoln neighborhood. Pups & People Dog Meet-Up at Latte Da

Dog lovers love nothing more than…other people with dogs. And that works out well, because dogs also love nothing more than other dogs with people. Latte Da Coffee House and Wine Bar wants to bring people and dogs together at Pups & People, a monthly meet-up for…well, people and dogs. It’ll be a big, furry, waggly, sniffy, slobbery party!

The first Pups & People is happening from 2 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 14. Bring your four-legged friends and meet your two- and four-legged neighbors. There will be games and prizes, including a doggie adoption fair hosted by Must Love Dogs NW, a local dog rescue organization. Buy a doggie bandana from Latte Da, and the proceeds benefit Must Love Dogs NW.

The popular coffee house will, of course, be offering its full food and drink menu, which includes everything from pastries and sweet treats to tasty wraps, soups, salads, and sandwiches to expertly brewed espresso drinks to craft beer, local wine and delicious small plates. Latte Da Coffee House and Wine Bar is setting the stage for local writers and poets to share their stories aloud during an Open Mic Night created especially for poetry and short stories.
