Oh, the weather outside is frightful, but the wine is so delightful…especially at Burnt Bridge Cellars this Friday evening, Dec. 16, when this downtown Vancouver tasting room will host a jolly Third Friday event with live music, art for sale, and a magical guest who dresses in red and knows how to make reindeer fly.
Drop by any time from 4 to 9 p.m. for music by Doug Smith, a master of contemporary fingerstyle acoustic guitar—a Grammy Award winner and the winner of the prestigious Winfield International Fingerstyle Guitar Competition. His playing has been heard in feature films and his original compositions have been heard everywhere from NPR to TCM to Martha Stewart to Good Morning America.
Browse the original paintings by Jill Mayberg and ceramics by Kim Murton. Mayberg’s fun, funky modern folk art acrylic and mixed media paintings will be on display and on sale, as well as Murton’s whimsical ceramic faces, animals, and figurines. Murton’s art can be seen in many public and private collections and is also exhibited in galleries and juried exhibitions all over the country.
Finally, the word around the winery is that Burnt Bridge Cellars will be visted by a white-bearded man from the North Pole! Who could it be? We’re not giving you any hints.
