$15 could buy you a relatively decent bottle of wine…or it could buy you wine and good times at English Estate Winery this Friday evening. "Wine & Good Times" is held every Friday night in English Estate's "Loafing Shed" tasting room, comfortably housed in the winery's historic red barn. English Estate—Vancouver's oldest vineyard—is located on the east end of town, at 17806 S.E. First St. between 192nd and 164th Avenues.
From 6 to 8: 30 p.m. every Friday, wine-lovers will enjoy not only English Estate wine, but also food and live music. This Friday, Feb. 21, attendees will hear soulful tunes by singer and guitarist Marianne Flemming to accompany a delicious meal catered by The Butler Did It. The meal—for which an RSVP is kindly requested—includes grilled teriyaki salmon, spinach orzo, wild green salad with orange vinaigrette, vegetables, bread, and dessert. Reserve your spot by e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you can't make it on Friday night, but would like to come by for a tasting, the Loafing Shed is open on Fridays from noon to 9 p.m., and on Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 6 p.m. Game Night is held every Monday from 4:30 to 7 p.m. in the covered Bocce Court.
