Fourth of July

4th of July & Riverside Concerts

The Port of Camas-Washougal is bringing the community to the riverside this summer with its 13th Annual Riverside Summer Concert Series in Marina Park.

Camas-Washougal’s Fourth of July celebration begins at 4 p.m. on Friday, July 4, with a patriotic-themed Children’s Bike Parade. Children ages three to 11 are invited to dress up and decorate their bikes for the parade around Marina Park. At 5 p.m., all ages are welcome to participate in the sack races. Prizes will be awarded for first and second place winners in both events. At 6 p.m., an evening of music begins with jazz and rock from the Jacob Merlin Band, followed by Big Night Out’s high-energy “dance machine.” At 10 p.m., when it’s nice and dark, the City of Washougal will launch its aaah- and 000h-inducing fireworks show, which grows more spectacular every year.

At 6 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 16, Rocket 88 will begin a music-filled evening with country, swing, and rhythm & blues. Then, local favorite Johnny Limbo & the Lugnuts will entertain the audience from 8 to 9:30 p.m., wrapping up the concert series with hits from the 50s and 60s.

There will be food vendors, face painting, balloon animals, games, and more at both events. Parking on July 4 will be available at the former Hambleton site, with the Boy Scouts directing traffic and two tractors pulling hay-filled wagons to transport concertgoers from the lot to Marina Park. The concerts are extremely popular—especially the Fourth of July celebration—so come early to save your spot. For more details, or to learn more about the Port of Camas-Washougal, visit
