Fathers and daughters of every age are invited to dance the night away at the City of Vancouver’s 16th annual Father Daughter Valentines Ball on Saturday, Feb. 6, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. The Valentines Ball will be held for one night only at the historic Pearson Airfield hangar, 1115 E. Fifth St. in Vancouver. This is the perfect opportunity to give your daughters or granddaughters (or nieces, or goddaughters, or grandnieces…) the royal treatment, including music, dancing, face painting, door prizes and savory treats.
In addition to making memories, the $12 per person admission price ($14 for those outside Vancouver city limits) includes ballroom and hip hop dance instruction by Groove Nation Dance Academy and a souvenir photo. Register online at http://bit.ly/father-daughterdance using registration number 103818, or call 360-487-7001. Registration is available until Monday, Feb. 1, while tickets last. All ages are welcome.
The dance has changed locations this year to accommodate increasing attendance numbers, and it has merged from several dances at different locations into one glorious evening. The transition to the hangar at Pearson Airfield was made possible thanks to the support of the National Park Service. Volunteers are also needed to support event registration, serve refreshments, help with crafts and face paint. Those interested in volunteering can contact Carrie Vogelzang at firstname.lastname@example.org or 360-487-8325.
