Father Daughter Valentines Ball

Father Daughter Valentines Ball

Fathers and daughters of every age are invited to dance the night away at the City of Vancouver’s 17th annual Father Daughter Valentines Ball. This event has grown in popularity over the years, and due to the overwhelming number of daddies and daughters who want to boogie down, the City of Vancouver has decided to host not one but TWO Valentines dances: from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on both Friday, Feb. 3, and Saturday, Feb. 4, at the historic Pearson Airfield hangar, 1115 E. Fifth St. in Vancouver.

This is the perfect opportunity to give your daughters or granddaughters (or nieces, or goddaughters, or grandnieces…) the royal treatment, including music, dancing, face painting, door prizes and yummy finger foods. In addition to making memories, the $12 per person admission price ($14 for those outside Vancouver city limits) includes ballroom and hip hop dance instruction by Groove Nation Dance Academy and a souvenir photo. Register online by clicking here, or call 360-487-7001. Tickets are first come, first served—although there is a waiting list if tickets sell out.

Volunteers ages 16+ are also needed to support event registration, serve refreshments, help with crafts and face paint, and assist with set-up and take-down. Questions? Contact contact Volunteer Coordinator, Hailey Heath, at 360-487-8316.

The dance has changed locations this year to accommodate increasing attendance numbers, and it has merged from several dances at different locations into one glorious evening. The transition to the hangar at Pearson Airfield was made possible thanks to the support of the National Park Service. Volunteers are also needed to support event registration, serve refreshments, help with crafts and face paint.
