When someone says "Vancouver," the words "haute couture" probably don't immediately spring to mind. But that's changing, especially with the advent of Couve Couture, an annual fashion show that draws huge crowds. Vancouver might not yet be known as the Paris of the Northwest, fashion-wise, but we do have our home-grown fashion icons: for example, two-time Project Runway winner Seth Aaron.
To celebrate the formidable phalanx of fashion talent that's sprung from this corner of Washington, Beigeblond Salon and Most Everything Vintage have teamed up to create the Couve Couture Spring Fashion Show on Saturday, April 12, at the Red Lion Inn at the Quay. The show features 11 designers and more than 90 models. Every aspect of Couve Couture capitalizes on the skills of fashion industry professionals from Vancouver and Southwest Washington: designers, models, hair stylists, make-up artists, caterers, videographers, photographers, and sponsors.
Tickets can be purchased online or in person at Beigeblond Salon, Most Everything Vintage, and Sweet Spot Skirts. Prices range from $25 for a standing spot to $400 for a four-person table along the runway, including dinner and a bottle of champagne. For all tickeholders, dinner and drinks will be available to purchase at the show. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the show starts at 7 p.m. To learn more, visit the Couve Couture website.
