What are you doing on Christmas Eve Eve? You know—the night before the night before Christmas! This year, it happens to fall on a Friday night—a perfect time to kick off the holiday season at Burnt Bridge Cellars! This downtown Vancouver tasting room is open from 4 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 23—the last night that Burnt Bridge will be open in 2016.
For starters, Burnt Bridge is offering discounts on glasses of wine for anyone who has an ugly sweater. There will also be a Christmas Cookie Exchange: bring a plate of your home-baked Christmas cookies (you know, Grandma’s special recipe with the rum; shhhh, we won’t tell!) or bring your favorite boxed cookies from the market (no one will care. Seriously. A cookie is a cookie is a cookie!) then make yourself a take-home collection of cookies assembled from what’s available.
Christmas tunes will be playing, and the wine will be flowing, and—since Burnt Bridge Cellars won’t be open again until Jan. 6—it’s a perfect time to pick up some award-winning wine for the wine lovers on your list; in fact, Burnt Bridge is offering two specially priced gift sets, all ready for gift-giving. And of course it’ll be a great time to get that special bottle of wine for Christmas dinner (or brunch—it’s never too early for wine!) or for New Year’s Eve.
Burnt Bridge Cellars is located at 1500 Broadway in downtown Vancouver. To learn more, visit www.burntbridgecellars.com.
