Kids’ Book Club

Wilson Rawl's "Where the Red Fern Grows," is the book-of-choice for the next Page Turners Book Club at the Camas Public Library.

This book club is designed for kids in fourth grade and up and their parents. You can get a free copy of the book from the Camas Library—and the book is yours to keep after the book club is done! The meeting also includes snacks and an activity. For more information about this and other Camas Library book discussion groups—including Teen Read Café, a mystery book club, and a general literature club—click here or call 360-834-4692. If you'd like to start your own book club, the Camas Library even has a "Book Club to Go" kit to help you get started.

Kids’ Used Book Sale

Perhaps, after all, you can be too rich or too thin. But you can never, ever, ever have too many books, especially kids' books! If you share the more-books-is-better mindset, then you won't want to miss the Fort Vancouver Regional Library (FVRL) Kids' Used Book Sale, to be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 8 and Sunday, March 9. The sale will be held at FVRL district headquarters in downtown Vancouver, 1007 E. Mill Plain Blvd.

If you're a parent, guardian, teacher, babysitter, godparent, or grandparent—if you know a child or have ever even seen a child—the staff at the library invites you to come and browse their sizable selection of children's books, featuring baby board books, picture books, easy reading books, and chapter books for older readers. All the books will be sorted into categories to make for easy browsing.

Prices will be reasonable, and library staff will be on hand to help you make informed selections. For more details, visit www.fvrl.org, or call 360-906-5106.
