Unplugged Open Mic Night at Burgerville
December 19, 2015 @ 5:00 pm - 9:00 pmFree
Do you sing, read poetry, or play the kazoo? Whatever thing you do, you’re invited to do it any time from 5 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 19, at the Salmon Creek Burgerville. It’s Unplugged Open Mic Night, a chance for the community to come together and show off their mad skillz while raising money for the Council for the Homeless. Burgerville will donate 15% of sales on Saturday night to the Housing Relief Fund to help local homeless families move into a home during the holidays.
Participants will each be given ten- to 15-minute sessions to share their talent or skill. So far, the performance line-up includes three acoustic guitarists, five vocalists, a rapper, a cellist, and a ukulele player. (Beat that for entertainment value!) For more details or to add your name to the list, contact Tony Fleck at 360-573-8223 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you’d like to support the cause but generally eschew the limelight, you can grab a table and some golden Yukon waffle fries to enjoy the show, come to the drive-through window during event hours, or simply stop by to make a donation. You can even donate online by clicking here. The Salmon Creek Burgerville is located at 13309 N.E. Highway 99 in Vancouver.
