Teen Late Night at Firstenburg, Marshall
March 24 @ 8:00 am - 11:00 pm
At the Teen Late Night program—from 8 to 11 p.m. every Friday night at Firstenburg Community Center and Marshall Community Center—teens ages 11 to 18 can hang out, play ping pong, pool, video games and basketball. The program promotes the principles of trust, respect, self-esteem, consistency and integrity, and makes it possible for teens of all social and economic backgrounds to come together. Teens develop tolerance, acceptance and gain support while hanging out and having fun in a safe and positive environment. This is a free program and any teen can participate with a current student ID card or a Teen Photo ID (available for $5 from the front desk at both community centers). Teen Late Nights start in October and run throughout the school year.
Other teen activities at Firstenburg include an after-school open gym from 3 to 5 p.m. with drop-in basketball on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays; use of fitness equipment from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. every day, and free, unlimited access to the game room with ping-pong, foosball, and pool tables. At Marshall, teens can hang out at the Teen Spot from 2:30 to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and play Xbox and Wii games, ping pong, pool, and air hockey.
