A Taste of Camas & Iron Chef 2014
May 4, 2014 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm$3 – $5
Two chefs + two principals + two students + two PTA members = one delicious competition and one of the North Bank's most popular fundraisers. The Camas Educational Foundaiton (CEF) will host "A Taste of Camas & Iron Chef 2014" from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 4, at the Camas High School commons. This isn't some fancy-schmancy, $50-a-plate, must-register-in-advance catered meal. This is $5 (or $3 for students, or free for kids under five) for an afternoon of lively entertainment as the two teams—one led by Harvest's Chef Tim McCusker, the other led by Nuestra Mesa's Chef Todd Morovitz—try to out-cook each other, plus games and activities, and did we mention lots of absolutely amazing FOOD? Additional activity tickets are available for $1 a pop. Tickets can be purchased at the door, as well as $60 VIP wristbands for behind-the-scenes access and even more food.
The whole community gets in on this annual event, and sponsors include (to name but a few) New Seasons Market, Whole Foods, Harvest Restaurant, Nuestra Mesa (reviewed in North Bank Now here), Squeeze & Grind, Downtown Camas Association, Corwin Beverage Company, Truly Scrumptious bakery, and Navidi's Olive Oils and Vinegar. Sponsorships are still available; it's a great way to give your business or organization an extra boost of community goodwill. To learn more, call the CEF at 360-335-3000, ext. 79915, or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
