The Strange Tones at The Old Liberty Theater
January 21, 2017 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm$15
The multi-award-winning band, The Strange Tones, is bringing its distinctly Northwest, “Crime-A-Billy” sound to the Old Liberty Theater at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 21. Known for well–crafted song writing and wildly entertaining live shows, the band’s distinct style fuses blues, rock, surf, and R&B with film noir sonic hues. The band has been inducted into the Cascade Blues Hall of Fame and has received five awards for Best Contemporary Act as well as multiple awards for Best Electric Guitar, Best Northwest Recording, and Best Vocals. Led by the husband-and-wife team of guitarist Julie and bassist Andy Strange, and fortified by longtime partners guitarist Suburban Slim and drummer Andy Gauthier, this group forms “… one of Portland’s most original and accomplished bands.”
The Old Liberty—located at 115 N. Main St. in dowtown Ridgefield—will open its doors at 6:45 p.m. so you can find a good seat and get some refreshments from Seasons Café in the lobby, which also offers beer and wine. Tickets are $15 per person, and the show is open to all ages. To get advance tickets, call 360-887-7260. Tickets are also available at the door on the day of the concert.
