Monte Wolverton Exhibit, Artist’s Talk at Three Creeks Library

May 14, 2015 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Local artist and political cartoonist Monte Wolverton will present a short, illustrated talk about his playful “neo-psychedelic” mixed-media paintings, sculptures, ceramic creations, and colorfully upcycled art pieces. Three Creeks Community Library, where Wolverton’s paintings and sculptures are on exhibit through May 20, will host this free presentation from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 14. Wolverton’s talk will be followed by a reception which is open to all guests and is the perfect opportunity to meet Wolverton and ask questions about his work.

Wolverton is an internationally syndicated editorial cartoonist whose work occasionally appears in The Columbian. In his talk, Wolverton will briefly discuss the origins and legacy of the work of his father, the late Vancouver cartoonist Basil Wolverton, as well as his own creative process and style. To learn more, visit www.montewolverton.com. To see his most recent cartoons, check out www.wolvertoon.com.

All of Wolverton’s pieces on display at the library are available for sale. Three Creeks Community Library is located at 800-C N.E. Tenney Rd. in Salmon Creek, adjacent to the Fred Meyer parking lot.
