Jungmaven Grand Opening Warehouse Sale
November 11, 2017 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
Jungmaven, an American clothing company founded by Robert Jungmann in 2005, is celebrating the grand opening of its Vancouver operation with a giant Grand Opening Warehouse Sale—just in time to get a head start on holiday shopping. The company makes 100% hemp clothing, and every piece is 100% U.S.A.-made.
Hemp is one of the world’s fastest growing plants and can sequester excess atmospheric carbon to help reverse climate change and clean the air. Jungmann started working with industrial hemp while attending university in Washington state in 1993. Jungmann has been creating hemp clothing for 25 years, starting with the first company he founded, Manastash. Hemp material dates as far back as 8,000 B.C.E. Both Presidents Washington and Jefferson grew it. Some evidence suggests that Betsy Ross sewed the first American flag with hemp fabric. Hemp is, in that regard, perhaps as American as apple pie. To date, the companies that Jungmann started have sold or given away approximately 1.5 million hemp products, furthering the company’s mission to raise hemp awareness. By Jungmann’s own calculations, by working with hemp instead of cotton, he’s taken approximately 684 tons of CO2 out of the atmosphere, saved approximately 1 billion gallons of fresh water, and prevented 500,000 pounds of pesticides, insecticides, and fertilizer that would have eventually ended up in the food and water supply.
The sale is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 11, at the Jungmaven warehouse, located at 5303 N.E. 121st Ave. in Vancouver. Shoppers will get up to 80% off hemp t-shirts, sweatshirts, and other products for men and women. To learn more about Jungmaven, visit https://jungmaven.com/.
