Free Workshop: Soil Testing Demystified

April 26, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Free

Do you test your garden soil every year? Should you? What about raised garden beds? And lawns? Learn the answers to these pressing questions and more as Master Gardener and soil scientist Dr. Martha Minnich shares best practices regarding soil testing in the home garden. The free “Soil Testing Demystified” workshop will be held on Wednesday, April 26, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Vancouver Community Library, 901 C St. in downtown Vancouver.

This 90-minute presentation will include information to help you to determine your soil testing needs—to know when soil testing is needed, and when it is not. Dr. Minnich will also cover the basics on how to interpret soil test results. This complex subject will be presented in layperson’s terms. Soil test packets will be available at the event.

No registration is necessary to attend. For more information, call 360-397-6060, ext. 5738, or email erika.d.johnson@wsu.edu. This workshop is put on in conjunction with Clark County Public Health/Solid Waste Outreach.
