Columbia Springs Volunteer Training
March 8, 2014 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pmFree
Columbia Springs is local gem, a green jewel of beautiful, wild Columbia River habitat with slightly more than 100 acres ready to be hiked, explored, and appreciated. But this marvelous local resource couldn't operate without volunteers—and that's where you come in, because Columbia Springs is offering a Volunteer Lead Training Day from on Saturday, March 8. You'll be trained to help Columbia Springs with its on-site education, restoration, and outreach events. Read the full Volunteer Lead Position Description here.
The training day includes classes on environmental education, restoration, leadership, group facilitation, and an orientation to Columbia Springs, including a tour of the site, which is located at 12208 S.E. Evergreen Highway. Breakfast and lunch is included. No previous experience with "being outdoorsy" is necessary; just come as you are and Columbia Springs staff will teach you what you need to know. Plus, the training is totally free (including breakfast and lunch—what a deal!) Register by completing this online volunteer application. To learn more, contact Columbia Springs' Volunteer and Events Coordinator at 360-882-0936, ext. 230, or send an e-mail to email@example.com.
