“Cats for the Genius” Book Signing at Vintage Books
February 4, 2017 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pmFree
Ramona Marek, author of “Cats for the Genius,” is celebrating the release of her new book by holding a reading and book-signing event at Vintage Books, Clark County’s largest independent book store (and a North Bank Now fave!). Come to Vintage Books at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 4, to meet the author, hear her read from the book, and sign copies (available in the store to purchase). Vintage Books is located at 6613 E Mill Plain Blvd in Vancouver.
“Cats for the Genius” is witten with the clever wit and in an easy-to-read conversational style of the “For the Genius” series. The book serves as the comprehensive owner’s guide to everything feline—so if you’re thinking about becoming a cat owner (pardon: “staff”), this is the book for you. If cats have already cast their magical spell on you and you own one, two, or many, you’ll find valuable information for you and your feline friends.
Marek—who lives in Vancouver—is an award-winning freelance writer, member and former director of the Cat Writers’ Association, member of the American Association of Feline Practitioners’ Cat Friendly Practice Advisory Council, non-veterinarian member of the American Association of Human-Animal Bond Veterinarians, and former member of the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants. She’s a contributing writer for many national and international print and digital magazines, including Cat Fancy, Animal Wellness magazine, the Tufts University Catnip newsletter, Cornell University’s CatWatch and DogWatch, the Cat Fanciers’ Association’s Cat Talk, and Pet Product News International. Marek has written about various topics, including the role and symbolism of the cat in fine arts, animal health and welfare, and the pet industry.
