July 21, 2017
An event every day that begins at 12:00am, repeating until July 22, 2017
It’s almost time for the 43rd annual Camas Days—Friday, July 21, and Saturday, July 22—followed by the Ducky Derby on Sunday, July 23. This year’s theme is “Once Upon a Time,” and as always, Camas Days offers fun for all ages, as well as a perfect opportunity to check out downtown’s marvelous mix of brewpubs, taprooms, cocktail lounges, coffee shops, boutiques, galleries, and restaurants. Expect to see arts and craft vendors, a gated wine and microbrew street, a kids’ activities street, a food street, concerts in the park, two parades (the Kids’ Parade on Friday and the Main Parade on Saturday), a softball tournament, and the famous Bathtub Races in front of City Hall.
During this two-day-long celebration of the North Bank’s favorite mill town, vendor and food booths open at 10 a.m. on Friday and Saturday to sell locally made crafts and delicious prepared food, and the famous Kids’ Street opens at 11 a.m. on both days, with a Kids’ Parade on Friday at 12:15. In the evenings, from 5 to 11 p.m., there will be a “Toast of Camas” Wine and Microbrew Street featuring award-winning local wines and craft brews as well as live music. If you love a parade, don’t miss the Camas Days Parade at 11 a.m. on Saturday, followed at 1 p.m. by the Bathtub Races (and yes, that means actual bathtubs racing down the street) and Firehose Spray. There will also be a blueberry pancake breakfast from 7:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Camas United Methodist Church and a softball tournament at Doc Harris Stadium.
