The Art of Healthy Spaces at Angst Gallery
July 7, 2017 @ 5:00 pm - 9:00 pmFree
Just in time for the long, bright days of summer, there’s an exhibit at Angst Gallery that uses light and sky to create designs that are at once restful and expansive. These recent works by local artist Erika Bartlett will be on display from July 7-29, with a First Friday reception from 5 to 9 p.m. on July 7.
“The Art of Healthy Spaces explores how we react to aesthetics from the viewpoint of evidence based design,” explains Bartlett. “I have been learning about our reactions to cues from nature and, just as fascinating, how our brains react when we examine the things we find beautiful. The work explores abstracted elements of the sky, repetition and light using contemporary materials and processes.” Five percent of every purchase of original fine art will be donated to the coalition for Southwest Elderly and Abuse Prevention.
