4th of July Celebration at Marina Park

July 4, 2014 @ 4:00 pm - 11:00 pm

Free

Camas-Washougal’s Fourth of July celebration in Marina Park begins at 4 p.m. on Friday, July 4, with a patriotic-themed Children’s Bike Parade. Children ages three to 11 are invited to dress up and decorate their bikes for the parade around Marina Park. At 5 p.m., all ages are welcome to participate in the sack races. Prizes will be awarded for first and second place winners in both events. At 6 p.m., an evening of music begins with jazz and rock from the Jacob Merlin Band, followed by Big Night Out’s high-energy “dance machine.”

At 10 p.m., when it’s nice and dark, the City of Washougal will launch its aaah- and oooh-inducing fireworks show, which grows more spectacular every year. There will be food vendors, face painting, balloon animals, games, and more. Parking will be available at the former Hambleton site, with the Boy Scouts directing traffic and two tractors pulling hay-filled wagons to transport concertgoers from the lot to Marina Park. The Fourth of July celebration is extremely popular, so come early to save your spot.
