The 6th annual Vancouver Brewfest—presented by Great Western Malting—coming to Esther Short Park on Friday and Saturday, Aug. 11 and 12. There will be live music, food trucks, and arts vendors for you to enjoy while sampling over 80 beers. You can also play the free Bear Pong (nope, not a typo!) tournament and win prizes from local brewers. For those with friends who don’t like beer (I know—weird, right?) there will be a selection of craft cider, mead, and wine from Naked Winery.
The Vancouver Brewfest has partnered with Trap Door Brewing and Great Western Malting—as well as one of the first female brewers in the Pacific Northwest—to create the event’s signature brew, the aptly named Heat Wave. You can see a full list of every brewery, cidery, and meadery that will be at the Summer Brewfest at www.VancouverBrewfest.com or by clicking here. Over 30 local brewers will be there—everyone from Alameda to Walking Man—as well as three cider and mead-makers.
Advance tickets are available online by clicking here and range from $7 for designated drivers to $17 for a Brewer’s Apprentice Pass to $32 for a Brewmaster Pass. All tickets are slightly more expensive at the gate. Passes include official Brewfest pint glasses and tokens; additional tokens are available at four for $5. Proceeds from this event go straight to local charities, so you’ll be drinking amazing beer for amazing causes! Thanks to local craft brew lovers, the Brewfest has donated $43,000 to local charities since 2012 and is continuing this year with Northwest Battle Buddies, Second Chance Companions, and the local chapter of the Disabled American Veterans. Plus, disabled veterans get in free with ID!
