Even if you’re not old enough to have been at Woodstock, you at least know that it stands for total grooviness, flower power, rock ‘n roll, tie dye, and vamped up VW vans. Don your best retro duds and hippie beads and relive the days of peace and love at Moulton Falls Winery with the Far Out Festival from noon to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 12. Live music will be happenin’ from 5 to 9 p.m. with Butterfly Breakdown, Jo & Nick, and Harvest Gold. There will also be lots of vendors on hand selling local goods.
The Moulton Falls Winery kitchen will be open and offering everything from wine and cider to appetizers to salads and freshly baked focaccia. There will be Electric Kool-Aid (sangria), Peace Pizza, and Magic Mushrooms (stuffed mushrooms—because anything that tastes that yummy is, like, totally magic, man). Try some of Moulton Fall’s legendary wood-fired quesadillas with chicken or seasoned beef, cheese, olives, green onions, and pickled peppers, served with sour cream and salsa. Food vendors will also be on site, selling all kinds of yummy treats.
The entry fee is $15 per person and includes a commemorative mug and drink tokens.
