The Port of Camas-Washougal is bringing the community to the riverside this summer with its Fourth of July Celebration and Riverside Summer Concert Series in Marina Park, which blasts off with a bang on Tuesday, July 4.
Arrive early to park on the future site of the Washougal Waterfront Development, or choose the overflow lot on 2nd St., near the Best Western. Grab a hay ride on a tractor-pulled trailers and ride to Marina Park in style. The Children’s Patriotic Bike Parade starts at 4 p.m., with kids’ games and activities continuing until 5:30 p.m. Food available to purchase includes cotton candy, flavored popcorn, snow cones, tacos, elephant ears, sandwiches, burgers, ice cream and milkshakes, teriyaki bowls, hot dogs, gyros, and a beer garden hosted by the local Lions Club. At 6 p.m., an evening of music begins with We Three followed by 5 Guys Named Moe. At 10 p.m., the City of Washougal will launch its wow-inducing fireworks show, which grows more spectacular every year.
At 6 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 12, come back to Marina Park for live music from 6 to 7 p.m. with King Louie and LaRhonda Steele, Edwin Colman III, and Renato Caranto. Then, local favorite Johnny Limbo & the Lugnuts will entertain the audience from 8 to 9:30 p.m., wrapping up the concert with hits from the 50s and 60s.
There will be food vendors, face painting, balloon animals, games, and more at both events. The concerts are extremely popular—especially the Fourth of July celebration—so come early to save your spot. There’s free parking and no entry fee for either event.
