The Clark County Volunteer Lawyers Program (CCVLP) is hosting a “Beer and Justice” event at Heathen Feral Pub from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 14. CCVLP is a small nonprofit organization governed by a board of directors and funded by grants from the Legal Foundation of Washington, Clark County Department of Community Services, and other small grants and donations. Attorneys volunteer their time and provide free services such as consultations, preparation for court appearances, referrals, and even direct representation. To learn more about CCVLP, visit ccvlp.org.
The Beer and Justice evening is the CCVLP’s first such community fundraising event. All donations made at the event go to Campaign for Equal Justice, which leverages additional funding to multiply dollars raised and grant these funds back to legal aid organizations in the county, such as CCVLP and NW Justice Project. This event is vital to the continued success of our programs. So drink, eat, be merry, and donate! For more information, email Elizabeth Fitzgerald, CCVLP’s executive director, at email@example.com.
Editor’s note: this even was originally scheduled to be held at Loowit Brewing, but had to change locations due to construction/remodeling at Loowit. We can’t wait to see the new, improved Loowit!
