To celebrate the arrival of sunny weather, Burnt Bridge Cellars has spruced up its outdoor patio and they’re pouring their new spring releases: the new Carte Blanche, Semillon, Rose, and Reserve Merlot. The Burnt Bridge Cellars tasting room will be open Friday from 4 to 9 p.m. and will be pouring special $6 glasses of the new Carte Blanche and Semillon. These new white wines are a perfect compliment to sunshine! After your first glass of wine, you may feel bold enough to compete in Trivia Night: Science Edition. This month, the questions are all about wine science. (Hint: they will be tough! So fortify yourself with extra wine.) The winners will be entered in a drawing for big prizes. BIG PRIZES, I TELL YOU!
On Saturday, Sunday, and Monday the Southwest Washington Winery Association is holding its Memorial Day event, when local wineries will release their spring wines. It’s also the beginning of the Summer Passport Challenge: visit all 10 participating wineries before Labor Day to earn prizes. The participating wineries include Burnt Bridge Cellars, English Estate Winery, Heathen Estate Winery, Confluence Vineyards & Winery, Stavalaura Vineyards, Emanar Cellars, Heisen House Vineyards, Olequa Cellars, Rezabek Vineyards, and Pomeroy Cellars.
