Backyard Birds 101

Have you ever been sitting on your front porch and seen a brilliant flash of russet red, dusty blue, or vivid yellow, and thought, “What kind of bird is that?” It’s very hard indeed to Google a bird if its name or species is unknown to you! But there’s no need to live shrouded in avian mystery any longer. Come to the Camas Public Library at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 16, for Backyard Birds 101. Join other area newcomers—or people who are just curious about our local feathered friends—and learn about the common birds you might see this year in your own backyard. Audubon Society volunteer Eric Bjorkman will present slides and answer your questions about those birds you’ve been seeing, or may see, later on in the year.

All Camas Public Library events are free, open to the public, and no registration is necessary. The Camas Public Library is located at 625 N.E. 4th Ave. in downtown Camas. For more information, call the library at 360-834-4692 or visit http://www.ci.camas.wa.us/index.php/camaspubliclibrary.
