Hello Vancouver! April 19 at Warehouse ’23

Hello Vancouver! is back at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19, in the event rooms at Warehouse ’23, 100 Columbia St. This is the second show at the new location, with your host Temple Lentz and the enthusiastic team from High Five Media. The doors will open at 6 p.m. and admission is free, although you can guarantee yourself a good seat by RSVPing online at EventBrite. Parking is available on-street and in designated event parking on the north side of the street. There will be a no-host bar and concession-style snacks available for purchase. Better yet, have dinner before or after the show at the restaurant.

First off, Lentz will interview Stephanie Stricklen, KGW anchor and host of Digital Trends. Just a few months ago, Stricklen left the KGW early morning news desk to spend more time focusing on digital communication. She regularly fills in at the news desk, and is also exploring social media, digital news, and changing trends in all of it.

Next up, Lentz will talk with Humane Society for Southwest Washington president Stacey Graham about the work this nonprofit organization does and do some fun community events scheduled in the near future. And she’s bringing along a few furry guests of honor!

Lentz will also shine the spotlight on Project Transformation, a ministry-based summer activity program to provide constructive activities for youth in underserved communities, while training college-age young adults to lead and work with them.

Finally, you’ll hear more about Opera Quest Northwest, a nonprofit group dedicated to bringing the world of opera to school-age children. Through Opera Quest Northwest, children learn opera history, characters, voice parts and famous melodies. They get to try out opera gestures and singing styles, become part of the chorus, and even come onstage as opera characters. We’ll hear more about the programs they offer, and hear a couple of songs from the performers.
