Easter Brunch at Roots

After rising in the wee hours for sunrise Easter services at your local church, followed by Easter egg hunts, Easter baskets, and other important Easter traditions, Easter Brunch at Roots Restaurant and Bar is sounding like a veeeeerrrrrry good idea. Brunch will be served from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 16, and below you’ll find a tantalizing teaser listing just three of the many seasonal specials that will be on the menu.   • Fresh strawberry crêpes with mascarpone
  • Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon and breakfast potatoes
  • Monte Cristo with ham, turkey, Swiss cheese and preserves

…and there’s plenty of other things to choose from on the regular brunch menu, such as local wild mushroom and herbed goat cheese omelet with farm peppers and breakfast potatoes, Southern-style chicken and waffles with jalapeño syrup, or a Fork & Knife biscuit sandwich with fried chicken, Nueskes bacon, jack cheese, egg and country gravy. Round it out with a glass of Champagne or a Lillet Fizz (Lillet Blanc and grapefruit topped off with sparkling wine) and you’ve got a real celebration.
