The Port of Camas-Washougal invites you to celebrate Earth Day 2017 by planting native trees and shrubs in the new Washougal Waterfront Park and along the Washougal Waterfront Trail. The Earth Day Tree Planting will be held on Thursday, April 20, from 3 to 5 p.m. Participants should meet at the Washougal Waterfront Park Picnic Shelter. Light refreshments will be provided for volunteers. Some areas that volunteers will be working in might be wet and muddy (this being the end of rainy season in the Northwest and all), so tree-planters should wear waterproof rubber boots and clothing that can get nice and dirty. Tools will be provided for the plantings and clean-up. Bring a pair of work or gardening gloves for yourself if you have them; there’s a small supply of extra gloves, but not quite enough to go around.
Washougal Waterfront Park is located at 56 S. 1st St. in Washougal.
