If you own a dog who likes to run off-leash (and what dog doesn’t?), here’s an acronym that you should know: DOGPAW, or Dog Owners Group for Park Access in Washington. DOGPAW is a nonprofit, all-volunteer organization that builds and maintains Clark County’s off-leash dog parks, and they could use a few extra wagging tails. Find out how you can get involved at DOGPAW’s Volunteer Fair on Saturday, March 18, at the Providence Academy Ballroom, 400 E. Evergreen Blvd. in Vancouver.
This free event from 1 to 4 p.m. will have dozens of pet product vendors, light refreshments, information about DOGPAW, and information about local volunteer opportunities. To learn more about DOGPAW and the Volunteer Fair, visit www.clarkdogpaw.org. Details are also on DOGPAW’s Facebook page–where you can “like” them and get regular updates about what’s going on to help make Clark County’s dogs even happier.
