Hometown Holidays

Photos with Santa, crafts, lighting the Christmas tree, hay rides, entertainment, and food—it’s Hometown Holidays, the First Friday event in downtown Camas happening from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 2.

Activities include welcoming entertainment and photos with Santa at 6 p.m., with free hot cocoa courtesy of Journey Church. The tree lighting—complete with fireworks!—happens at 6:30 p.m. sharp. From 6:45 to 9 p.m, downtown Camas will be bustling with over 15 school and community choirs, bands and dancers, tractor hay rides, and crafts for the kids. If you get hungry, you can buy a dinner from street food vendors, and of course downtown restaurants and shops will be open for business with an abundance of deals and discounts.

You might also consider stopping by the Downtown Camas Association table in the lobby of Journey Church to sign up for the Holiday Sip & Shop on Thursday, Dec. 8, with cocktails, shopping, and a ride on a red double-decker bus.

This annual event is hosted and organized by the City of Camas. For more information about this and other events in downtown Camas, visit the Downtown Camas Association website at downtowncamas.com.
