The eighth annual Vintage & Art Faire will return to the streets of downtown Camas this year on Saturday, Aug. 27, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. This event brings over 60 vintage, antique, and local art vendors that fill the town with all things vintage, repurposed, and artful. Vintage offerings include a huge variety of indoor and outdoor furniture and home and garden items as well as clothing and accessories. Art was added to the event last year and includes sculpture, paintings, glass art, metalwork, handmade jewelry, fiber art and recycled art. The fair will be held on 4th Ave. and Birch St. near Camas Antiques.
Mary Shupe of The Queen’s Rubbish will be a new vendor to the faire this year, though not new to the art of vintage collecting. She’ll bring antiques over 100 years old, including vintage dressforms and one-of-a-kind pieces created from vintage items. Roost Reimagined will be back with its recycled and reimagined vintage finds. My Shabby Passion offers rusty, industrial vintage finds and The Dollhouse sells unexpected vintage treasures for your home and garden. For more information on the vintage vendors, see the Facebook event page.
Artist vendors Tamra Sheline and Jennifer Smith, both accomplished painters in completely different genres, bring high quality originals and print options to the faire. June Wildash will also return with her wide selection of seasonal folk art and Christine Ingalls with Late Night Lampworks brings eclectic and stylish jewelry made of vintage glass beads and recycled items. New art vendors this year include Deborah Roberts with whimsical animal portraits, Sara Pietila of Earl Grey & Polka Dots with unique greeting cards and paper art, and Denise Bergman of Iron Bender with recycled metal art. Live music accompanies the all-day event and includes jazzy French songs from the Carol Rossio Jazz Trio. Fresh food options will include sweet and savory waffles by Hello Waffle, My Dad’s Kettle Korn, shaved ice by Burris’ Tasty Treats, and pies and pastries by Truly Scrumptious.
