Columbia Agility Trials

Good dog! The Columbia Agility Trials, hosted by the Columbia Agility Team (also known, quite ironically, as CAT) will be held on Saturday, Aug. 27, and Sunday, Aug. 28, at the Clark County Event Center‘s Jack Giesy Equestrian Arena. It’s free to come watch, and what fun it will be: all breeds and sizes of dogs competing to make it through canine-sized obstacle courses, over jumps, through tunnels, up and down ladders and ramps, and more.

The event runs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday. Parking is free. The Clark County Fairgrounds are located at 17402 N.E. Delfel Rd. in Ridgefield.

The Columbia Agility Team was formed in 1993 to promote the fast-growing sport of dog agility in the Portland/Vancouver area. With now over 230 active members, CAT offers agility training and hosts agility competitions sanctioned by the North American Dog Agility Council, the United States Dog Agility Association, and Canine Performance Events. Through CAT, you and your dog can sign up for dog agility seminars, use CAT’s practice facilities, meet other dog owners—and discover a whole new way to have fun with your dog! To learn more, visit
