There’s a lot going on at Latte Da Coffee House and Wine Bar this weekend, starting with the Writers’ Open Mic, where local writers and poets to share their stories aloud during an open mic event created especially for poetry and short stories. All ages are welcome to attend, and anyone—published, self-published, and as-yet-unpublished writers! Kids, too!—is welcome to sign up starting at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, July 8. The mic will be open from 6 to 8 p.m.
On Saturday morning, July 9, take your pooch out for breakfast at Pups & People, a monthly meet-up for…well, people and dogs…happening from 9 to 11 a.m. Bring your four-legged friends and meet your two- and four-legged neighbors. There will be games and prizes—and when you buy a doggie bandana from Latte Da, the proceeds benefit Must Love Dogs NW, a local dog rescue organization. Best of all: order up some of Latte Da’s famous waffles with fresh strawberries and homemade whipped cream.
Last but not least, Latte Da is hosting its giant Five Year Anniversary Celebration from 2 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, July 9, with a full food and drink menu, which includes everything from pastries and sweet treats to tasty wraps, soups, salads, and sandwiches to expertly brewed espresso drinks, tea and Italian soda to craft beer, local wine and delicious small plates. There will be live music, games, a raffle, prizes, and another Open Mic from 8 to 10 p.m. Plus, craft brew lovers can enjoy a “tap takeover” hosted by Trap Door Brewing, plus a wine tasting event in the wine room. All ages are welcome to come and help Latte Da celebrate half a decade of successful business!
